The pinnacle of the steak world is Japanese Wagyu, and A5 is the greatest quality Japanese Wagyu can achieve. The Kuroge Washu breed produces Kagoshima Wagyu. The maximum marbling of any beef in the world is achieved by Japanese Wagyu graded A5.

Shabu-shabu is a classic Japanese hotpot dish of thinly sliced beef and vegetables simmered in dashi (broth) water and served with dipping sauces made from our delicious A5 Japanese Wagyu.

Submerging a thin slice of meat or a vegetable in a saucepan of boiling water or dashi (broth) cooked with konbu (kelp) and stirring it is how the meal is produced. Before eating, ponzu or goma (sesame seed) sauce is commonly dipped into cooked meat and vegetables. Our A5 NY Striploin slice is made with the highest grade of Japanese wagyu.
